Free Swing Stock Checker for NSE Stocks
Is this stock ready for a swing trade? Type any NSE symbol and get an instant 7-point swing score: trend, RSI momentum, 52-week high, relative strength against the NIFTY and volume, each marked pass or fail.
How the swing score works
Swing trading on the NSE means holding a stock for days to a few weeks to catch one move, and the moves that work most often come from stocks already trending, near their highs and stronger than the market. The checker tests exactly that, one point per rule:
- 01
Long-term uptrend
Price is above its 200-day moving average.
- 02
Medium-term uptrend
Price is above its 50-day moving average.
- 03
Healthy momentum
14-day RSI is between 50 and 70 - momentum is positive but not overbought.
- 04
Not extended
Price is within 8% above or 5% below its 20-day EMA, so the entry is not a chase.
- 05
Near 52-week high
Price is within 15% of its 52-week high, where leaders tend to trade.
- 06
Beating NIFTY
The stock has outperformed the NIFTY 50 over the last six months (or the longest window available).
- 07
Volume participation
Today's volume is at least 1× its normal level - buyers are showing up.
A checklist shortlists; it does not time an entry. For a defined setup with backtested rules, EdgeScan’s AI swing screeners scan the NIFTY 500 every evening, and you can size the trade with the free position size calculator.

Swing stock checker - common questions
- What is a swing stock checker?
- A swing stock checker runs the checks a swing trader would do by eye on a chart, for any stock, in one go. EdgeScan's checker grades an NSE stock on 7 rules - trend, momentum, extension, nearness to the 52-week high, relative strength and volume - and adds them into a score out of 7. It is free and needs no signup.
- What does the swing score measure?
- One point for each rule the stock passes: long-term uptrend (price is above its 200-day moving average); medium-term uptrend (price is above its 50-day moving average); healthy momentum (14-day rsi is between 50 and 70 - momentum is positive but not overbought); not extended (price is within 8% above or 5% below its 20-day ema, so the entry is not a chase); near 52-week high (price is within 15% of its 52-week high, where leaders tend to trade); beating nifty (the stock has outperformed the nifty 50 over the last six months (or the longest window available)); volume participation (today's volume is at least 1× its normal level - buyers are showing up).
- What is a good swing score?
- 6 or 7 out of 7 with the stock above its 200-day moving average reads as "Strong swing structure". 4 or 5 is "Developing structure" - a stock worth watching, often one or two conditions away. 3 or less is "Weak swing structure". A stock below its 200-DMA is never graded strong, however many other checks it passes.
- Is a high swing score a buy signal?
- No. The score describes the stock's technical structure from public price data - it is not a recommendation to buy or sell, and EdgeScan is not a SEBI-registered investment adviser. Use it to shortlist; your entry, stop-loss and position size are your call.
- How do I find swing stocks for tomorrow on NSE?
- Shortlist stocks that are trending (above the 50 and 200-DMA), near their 52-week high and beating the NIFTY, then wait for a defined setup. EdgeScan's 3 AI swing screeners do this every evening across the NIFTY 500 and publish each screen's exact rules and full backtest, losses included.
- Which stocks can I check?
- Any NSE-listed equity with about a year of trading history - NIFTY 50, NIFTY 500, mid caps and small caps. Recent IPOs need roughly 210 sessions before the 200-day average exists; for new listings, use the IPO analysis page instead.
- How fresh is the data?
- Prices come from NSE market data and are refreshed through the trading day - a result can be up to about six hours old. The result card shows the exact time its data is from.
- Do I need to sign up?
- No. The checker is free with no signup and no limit. A free account adds the next step - which of EdgeScan's AI swing screeners the stock passes and the rule-by-rule reason for each.
Not investment advice. EdgeScan is an analytics and screening tool, not a SEBI-registered investment adviser. The swing score is a mechanical reading of public price data for educational purposes only.
